How can the any company based in China be upset when their economy is BASED on theft of intellectual property???

It was just a matter of time before foreigner got caught taking Chinese intellectual property. I see a lot of unique products here which should be protected and the Chinese will soon learn how to use their legal rights to do just that. If this article is correct and they can stop their intellectual property from being exported out of China then the foreign buyers will be forced to deal rather than steal.

I reseller Griffin products and find it hard to believe they could do something like this. Are you sure that it is not the Chinese company that is taking Griffin's design?

Griffin removed the Lajo 2-tone design from the iPhone 3g Flex Grip. Check out this link http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/flexgripiphone

Here is their feature list, NO XSKN 2-tone design.

      FlexGrip for iPhone
Silicone case for iPhone 3G When the going gets tough, all your iPhone needs is a little FlexGrip.

Griffin’s FlexGrip case wraps your iPhone in durable, non-scratching silicone, textured to make it easy to hold onto.
      Features
Textured silicone case for sure grip and wrap-around protection
Protects your iPhone, front and back, from scratches, dents and dust
Full access to screen, jacks, and controls

I think it's a bloody shame that Griffin is using Lajo's design.

This problem is easily resolved -
It is obvious that both products have the same main elements plus the two-tone colour design. If Griffin posted and released their design "FlexGrip" first, then to them should go the spoils of retail war. But....if Lajo Cymbalskiwas the first to leave the gate, then Griffin should abandon their design and make amends with Cymbalski - or at least compensate him for his work. This mess could cause confusion in the marketplace!!!

Lajo was stupid to send prototypes to a potential competitor without getting a signed non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement first. But more than that, now Lajo knows what it feels like to live on promises. Just like he has expected lots of others to live on his promises that never happened.

Lajo is an ethical businessman and has played the game fairly for years. He is Canadian expat who was screwed by iSkin in the early days as well and then set up from scratch in China. The guy looks after his people I've been to his factory and it aint a sweat shop. Xskn is a quality product and Lajos business model has helped other small businesses around the world including those in the USA to get some income flowing at a good price point compared to the big end of town. Why shouldn't Lajo be protected with his unique designs from these predators. Lets look after the little guy no matter what Country they may live!

The fact is they are all ripping off Apple by making charging people for a skin which only cost about 22¢ to make..
You can now find skins for older ipods in dollar stores.
      Screw you all!

Yeah, a little ironic on the face of it, right?

Even so, Lajo's company has always respected intellectual property and has innovated in beautiful and functional ways. You can't paint every Chinese company with the same brush.

Absolutely ridiculous. Chinese factories are the biggest copycats in the world and don't give a sh#* about intellectual property.
