Today Apple released iPod Nano 4th gen. China companies had this information as of July 6/2008. This gave many companies an unfair advantage over other companies and that translates into 100s of 1,000s of dollars in added profit. 

From where we stand there is nothing extrodinary about this new nano. Had it been the touch screen nano everyone was waiting for it would be another great Apple day story. We will have to wait and see if being a new iPod will be enough to give it an iPod market share iPod nano 3rd gen had.

Today Mac Rumors posted  iLounge and XSKN as equals in providing valuable iPod Nano 4th gen information. XSKN's iPod nano 4th gen case was available before August the 28th. Years ago iLounge (formerly known as iPodLounge.com) had the reputation of the being the first site that everyone would go to to find out about new iPods or iPod accessory, that has changed. We know that iLounge has unsuccessfully tried to use its former dominance in the iPod news market to block all news releases from a well known Chinese company, XSKN.com with the hope of bringing that company down. Because of their misguided goal iLounge members were recently deprived of the most important Apple story yet, iPhone 3G. XSKN.com released their iPhone 3G cases months before Apple released iPhone 3G to the world. Thousands of iPhone and iPod news sites picked up on the XSKN story and used XSKN.com iPhone 3G case images as a method to give their members a the front, all the sides and the back of iPhone 3G, iLounge hid the story. Everyone in the business knows that the first leaks about any new iPhone or iPod is going to come from China and those who choose not to report them to their follower will lose.

XSKN.com from the date it was blocked by iLounge.com had 6 employees, today XSKN.com has over 85 employees and designs and manufacturers its own brand XSKN / EXO / XRAP plus their factory is used by a number of name brand USA, Canada, Australia, Europe companies to produce their products.  iLounge on the other hand is no longer the place to go get the lastest iPod and iPhone news. Sites like Macrumors.com have replaced iLounge by doing what news sites should do and that is give their followers all of the news as it happens.

A real iPod Nano 4th gen was on display at the IFA show in Berlin. A major electronic company had the actual model on display but only for a short time,  a representative from Apple asked them to remove it. Hundreds of people saw and touched it before it was removed.

I am trying to confirm some new inforamtion that the new Nano has the traditional dock connector.  I have yet to see a 3D rendering with the traditional dock connector

I just got information that a factory in Baoan China got an order for 6,000,000 silicone cases for the new iPod nano 4th gen. If this order is true there are only a few companies that could handle those numbers, could it be for Apple? This is only one of a number of factories making cases for iPod nano.

My staff found and bought what has to be the first case released for iPod Nano 4th Gen. Today we got our hands on a milled plastic mold and we compared with iPod nano 2nd gen.  This milled molds is the exact size of the next nano according to some case companies who are producing skin tight cases. 





Nano 4th gen uses Macbook Air's method of appearing thinner than what it really is.

Tens of Millions of dollars were made by Chinese companies which had access to the iPhone 3G spec months before it was released.. China is buzzing with information about accessory companies building iPod Nano 4^th generation products. And the word is that Nano 4^th Gen is a touch screen nano.
